The Gold in Basketball!!! 27/8/2009
The XIII ICSE & ISC Sports Meet was held on the 25th-26th August 2009 at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.
Nasr School takes part every year. We have always had the Junior and Senior team participating. This is the most awaited meet for the Nasrites and all of us train hard. Last year we lost to HPS and ended up with a silver medal. I got selected for the Nationals which was played in Allahabad and even there we ended up with a silver medal.
This year my goal was to a get a Gold medal and I worked hard along with my team for it. And I was made the Captain of the Nasr ISC Basketball Team.
Our first match on the 25thAugust 2009 was with St.Joseph’s where we won with a score of 22-4.
Our second match was with Gitanjali and we beat them 26-4. After these two matches that we won we entered into the semi-finals against HPS. And this year we had to win. And we won 11-2. This match led us into the finals, where we played against St.Anns, Secunderabad.
We beat them 26-15 and realized our dream of winning the Gold Medal.
