Year- 2009 - still going on.... OMG!!!!

This Year - at School - Class 12- great...

As the year started of in June everybody was excited and school was just buzzing abt who the next Captains will be for the school and Houses...And soon the campaigning for the Captains began and soon they were all elected by us and they won...

School Captain: Meghna Singh, School Vice-Captain-Ashruthi Shah,School Sports Captain- Rashmi Shastry,School Vice-Sports Captain- Saher Azmi, Topaz House -Maryam Sultana,Sapphire House-Harsha Mehashwari,Ruby house-Preksha Trivedi,Emerald House- Ananditha Ahujha and Amethyst House-Priyanka Kotari.

All this went on till July.

In Mid July we started our practice of the Investiture Ceremony that was to take place on 15Th Aug-2009.

Here we had the house march past and the Prefect march Past...The Captain and prefect took their oath and were given the responsibilities...The Prefect March-past was the most important one- we did a Formation March for Unity- this was a surprise to everybody present there...we practiced this formation on the two holidays that we got under the guidance of Bishop Sir and Binoy Sir(Band).And this Formation march was great success and everybody was so happy to see it..

During all these activities taking place we had our Basketball Practice going on for the ICSE & ISC Inter-school Sports Meet...The Junior and the Senior team went to practice at the Nizam College ground everyday at 6 a.m and from there came to school n did our march past and attended the class..

After the Investiture ceremony The team had practice during the school even after the morning practice.

All these practice was great...all of us enjoyed it and worked hard...

Soon the Sports meet came...all of us were all very excited.On the Sports Day morning Bishop sir announced that i was to be the Captain of the Senior team.Soon the matched started off.we had our match with St. Joseph(22-4) first and the Gitanjali (26-4) - we won.Then we played with HPS (11-2) and won dis game too--this game lead us to the Finals...we played against St. Ann's in finals and we won the Gold with score of 26-15!!!

After this was the Athletics meet coming and all those who were participating were getting ready for the meet...We won some medal at the meet...

During the closing ceremony they had announced the National team.From our school from the sernior team Prathima,Aarti and Upasana were selected and i was selected as a Standby.

From the Junior team Keertana and Anam were select and Sowmya as for being a Standby and Pooja,Viharika,Taruniya for Athletics Nationals, Mouica,Asra,Alifia,Upasana for Swimming Nationals.

All through these activities classes were going on and i didn't want to miss them...soon we had our exams and holidays...where i studied throughout them.

Soon school began with more actvities such as school sports events.

And the teacher are trying to finish our portion as fast as they can..i have not been missing classes and also decided not to go for the national practice.things have been going fine at school and its fun...

I also had my Topaz House meeting along with amethyst house- we celebrated Dussura and Diwali.there were food and games stall and music playing in the background and some were also dancing...it was really fun...Rhea and I made up our own steps for dandiya-which was coincidentally correct- we had so much fun.

Now at school we are practising for the Sports Day that is coming at the end of this month....we again have the March Past- the Captains, Nasr Star,and the Houses.

Then we have torch lighting ,then captains take the oath...and soon aft that we do a drill...this drill is boring just too much n not really that fun but have to do it... :(

anyways soon Sports meet is going to come and after that we do not have much of activity.

We will have only studies and studies to do...

Have only 4 months left for the boards- in that four months - we will have the 2nd term in Dec and the Pre-finals in mid Jan and Feb will be our Prep hols and March will be our Board exam..

And i am just waiting for the last day of when my boards will get over and i will have huge relief... till then will study and study and work hard that is all is my plan of action...

What a year...just waiting for it to end soon...

The XIII ICSE & ISC Sports Meet was held on the 25^th-26^th August 2009 at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.

Nasr School takes part every year. We have always had the Junior and Senior team participating. This is the most awaited meet for the Nasrites and all of us train hard. Last year we lost to HPS and ended up with a silver medal. I got selected for the Nationals which was played in Allahabad and even there we ended up with a silver medal.

This year my goal was to a get a Gold medal and I worked hard along with my team for it. And I was made the Captain of the Nasr ISC Basketball Team.

Our first match on the 25^thAugust 2009 was with St.Joseph’s where we won with a score of 22-4.

Our second match was with Gitanjali and we beat them 26-4. After these two matches that we won we entered into the semi-finals against HPS. And this year we had to win. And we won 11-2. This match led us into the finals, where we played against St.Anns, Secunderabad.

We beat them 26-15 and realized our dream of winning the Gold Medal.

Creating Your Own Path

The Paths that we have taken in our lives since we were young and until now, how we go along them at any moment, what obstacles have come and how we have dealt with them help us grow. The positive things that have come along the way which brought us happiness, which brought us pride at that moment make us better persons.

Every person has an aim in his/her life to do something to make him feel proud of. hes set the goal with positivity and works on it. It may take a long time to achieve the goal he has set for himself. But still he should never get influenced by other ppl saying something negative abt it. They will say what their opinion is like and he should not get offended by it. He should accept it and do what he thinks is correct for himself and get it done and never leave it.

This is how we create a path in our life.

7 days a week- I need a change...

Why should Monday come before Tuseday or Wednesday....

And Friday come after Thursday,

And Saturday and Sunday be at the end of the week and not in between?

My Game!!! - Just...

April 1st, after along time I came on basketball court.

It was a wonderful feeling to come back on to the court and play.

After about 5 months I have returned on to the court and just feels good to get back my life of playing basketball and attending school.

I have been playing basketball for the past 8 yrs or so.

The school that I had gone to did not have a school team. Soon in my 9th I had shifted to a new school. And that school had a team. And immediately I joined it and I was in the Main 5. It was fun and I got serious with the game. When I was on this team I was exposed to matches conducted in ISCE/ISC Sports Meet and at this meet they select player to be able to go to the National Meet. As I got to know about I got encouraged by it and wanted to go to the Nationals that were coming up. So in order to achieve it I started to practice. Our 1st match was against Nasr (the school I go to now),and this was the match which I played really well. I was in full form and totally into the game. It was the match which I had played the best ever till then. At the end of the Sports Meet I got to know that I was selected as a Standby for the Nationals. Many of my schoolmates expected me to get selected for it. And after that, my aim has been to go to the Nationals, and be a good player.

After I finished my 10^th grade exams, I continued to go for practice. For a year, I had gone to the USA on an exchange program sponsored by Rotary. And that year I could not play and I lost my practice. I returned to India on the July 3rd, joined a new school -Nasr on the July 7th, and started out again with a new team. As soon as I had joined the team, on the 12th July we had a tournament coming up. That tournament for a start was good.

Soon I got adjusted with the team. We practice everyday and missed a lot of classes :)

We practiced hard and developed the team well. Sports Meet was coming up in September and we were all set to play the matches and win..

Finally it came up and we showed our team game on the court.

We went to the Finals and played with HPS team. This game was real fun and we applied the man to man defense technique. The game was a neck to neck, but we had lost. We were fine with it and there was not much of despair. The Closing ceremony was taking place and my mind was just thinking about the goal I had kept after the 10^th grade Sports Meet- to go to the Nationals.

The medals were presented. The players eligible to go to the Nationals were announced. From our team we had three players selected they were- Avijeet Shastry, Ananya Pendekanti and I.

Slaughter the dolphins by getting into water

Stabbing the animal to death.

Drag dolphin out of water-alive

And transport to-Slaughter House

And let them bleed out in agony.

I love Dolphins!!!

And people pls don't hurt them...
